Intelligent articles by MISA authors Part 1

I can not not write about this. This is another shining example of the level of stupidity, and maybe lack of attention of the important MISA people.
On the official site there is an article about subtle energies of sounds
The article is taken from the MISA publication Yoga Magazine, and is supposedly written by MISA VIP/instructor/composer/MISA techno music superstar Dan Bozaru.
My attention brought to this mistake on one of the Romanian forums, where it was also mentioned that in the original Yoga Magazine article it was written correctly.
So what is the problem? The problem is that in the very first sentence the author mentions something called Bing Bang. Of course he is referring to the Big Bang, you know the thing that created the Universe. You might say this is just a tipO and it's not that bad. Of course it's not. Anyone can make a simple mistake like that, it could be also due to chance or hitting the wrong button on the keyboard. But! Here is the relevancy of this to the MISA case. Because it reflects the typical MISA way of thinking. First of all according to them there is no such thing as chance, so this mistake has a divine meaning and purpose, and if I can't see it I'm possessed by demons and didn't do enough of the “yoga”-techniques thought by them to see this. I kid you not, they (the everyday student/believer of MISA and even the instructors) think in this manner and they apply this to the smallest little thing that happens to them. Everything is “integrated” in the divine plan of which they of course are the major part of, because you know Sundar Singh (or Grieg) said so.
The second thing I would like to point out that there is a little application in every office application that does a check of your spelling and gives suggestions of how to spell it correctly. Of course it might not have Romanian but still if you used words from another language of which you are not a native speaker you should run it. Or you could do the most simple and cheap checking, give it to someone and ask him/her to read your text before you publish it on the website. A fresh pair of eyes might notice a mistake you didn't. But of course they know better and because (probably) the typing of the material was done after consecration of the activity, which means for the MISA believers that it is perfect in every way, because God directly works through them when they do such activities (typing this article was probably someone's karma yoga task, which is always consecrated), and so they can not do any harm or any wrong, no matter what that activity is. For some this is a genuine obsession: consecrating everything they do. Because they are thought in the MISA courses that this is the only way for them to break out of the endless cycle of reincarnation. According to MISA doctrine if you consecrate (of course according to a certain formula invented, pardon, revealed by the divine master Grieg) everything you do, no matter how small, then and only then will you be able to break free of the burden of rebirth and reach the ultimate liberation. The obsessive consecration of activities is begin performed in every MISA activity. At the beginning of the courses, before meditations, before activities, etc, and when they teach the students this for the first time they tell them that they should do this as much as they can, just to be sure. This means of course, like you probably could figure out logically, that if this is something necessary, why couldn't you do this at the beginning of the day and be done with it? Or do this once in your life when you hear about it for the first time? The MISA doctrine saiez that you can do this but you should do this as much as you can because of some mysterious reason, because I never found out why this isn't possible, at least not proven beyond reasonable doubt by any of the MISA version of this practice that I've ever talked to. The most I could deduce from other similar techniques and the superstitions adjacent to them is that it wares of after a while and that is why you should do this before everything you do. So for some if becomes a real obsession and they base major decisions on it.
If your not familiar to the MISA doctrine you might be curios what does it mean. It means that before you do a certain activity, for example write a stupid article for yogaesoteric, you stop doing what you were doing before, you close your eyes (if you can't do this you can do it with open eyes) and you say mentally the formula: (Approximate translation) Oh Lord, My Heavenly Father, I hereby consecrate all of the fruits of this action of writing this article to you completely with all it's consequences. Thy will be done. Amen. Amen. Amen.
But maybe the most important element in this is the fact that the article has been posted on the site on the 12 th of December and until now they didn't change it. This could mean that either they didn't notice and neither did anyone of the 40000 supposed students that they supposedly have, and nobody told them of it's existence. Since it has been noticed by one of the exmisa forum users and it has been commented on on the forums, and adding to that the fact that it's in the first sentence I suppose it's not a case of lack of observation. I would say it's more the case of indifference. They put the article there and they leave it there. Only on very few occasions do they make changes to the articles. At one point there were several articles denying something they did and at the same time there were articles that confirmed that very same thing, and denied others. The conclusion I can draw from these behaviors is that they just don't care. The point is to give the crowd the entertainment, no matter the content and just leave it there, because there's room on the server for it.

The funny thing is that I also found on another MISA branch's official site a similar, but even more ridiculous mistake, which was consequently mentioned on different pages. The word is a very simple English word, highly popular in our days, not that difficult to spell, so in this case it's a matter of ignorance. Proud, consequent, smug ignorance that they are not willing to change and what they thing is a virtue.
The mistake refers to the word web designer. It's a fairly simple word, you can also correct it with the above mentioned application if you didn't know how to spell it, but not if your an all knowing MISA member, who is always right.

But the most ridiculous element in the site in my opinion is the fact that there is a page called resources (resurse in Romanian) and if you click on that it takes you to a page that has the title standardized instruments (Instrumente standardizate in Romanian) but absolutely nothing else on the page. This is how many standardized instruments they use when they give advice to the people coming to their courses and workshops. Of course the spiritual/semi-religious/psychology related workshops are easy to do because people who don't read bout such thing don't know that even these should have scientifically proven, standardized methods supporting them. The MISA branch Dacica of course can not provide this because it would cost money and take them away from important things like saving the world and making tantric love for hours and hours and, hours. But they have the words on their website! That's what matters. They know these things exist. They have no idea how they should look like, but they put the words there because it bring in good resonances for the site and for the movement (MISA), this is of course the spiritual justification I suspect behind it. This is also a MISA doctrine and MISA superstition. If you do a certain action (usually a MISA magic ritual or some MISA “technique”) you can reap the benefits even if you don't have any experience with it or you don't really pay attention to it (like in the case of the meditation “technique” they call Laya yoga and which also in the MISA interpretation means to sit with closed eyes and repeat a monosyllabic word that has no sense and that Gregorian Bivolaru has invented and this puts you in resonance with different deities and things) to what you are doing it's better to do it anyway because it brings in the energy of the thing (the thing you should do but in this case are to lazy to put your attention and effort in it to do it right without stupid superstitions) you want there where it should be because the divine forces know that you need this and of course you are the center of the Universe and immediately they get it done for you, without any effort on your part.

Comments about the so called “international” yoga day in Iași, Romania

I don't really know any people from Iași so I'll just comment on the obvious mascaraed supported by MISA.
According to the official website of the cult MISA has “more then 40000” sometimes members, but when somebody asks for proof of this astronomical number the official response is that oh, no you misunderstood. We ment that MISA as in the organization (that by the way is also a lie, because the so called registration form of the association if a false) has only a dozen members. Among who there are people who are no longer connected and (at least inside the cult) are considered demoniac (and to be avoided by the true and pure students of the divine MISA) and no longer active members so the actual people who were on that particular list are now at around 5.
The next formulation is simpatizanți (people who support the movement ideologically or otherwise or someone who has sympathy for the MISA principle). Well this is also a nice formulation. Because this term is also not defined by them everyone can fit this criteria. This is the precise goal of it. This way they can say that if someone who was just walking by on the street where there is an event organized by MISA, then that person can (and will) be considered a “simpatizant”. This can of course be called a long stretch, but it's very common in the MISA folklore that some paranormal power of the cult leader Gregorian Bivolaru (Grieg) is supposedly proved by this, and this is willingly induced by the instructors, the “students” are thought this way of thinking, in all this is the only thing they are really thought, and thought very well: to give up all logic and reason and to hang on to the smallest thread of “proof” of the spiritual power of the master and the divine goal of MISA.
But also the therm a person who sympathizes MISA can also refer to a big part of the Romanian population who feel sorry for the “yogis” (but they wrongly equate the term yogi with the cult members of MISA). They do so not wrongly. The video's you can see about the police raids in the MISA “ashrams” are indeed wrong and unjust. But there is a big butt here. And that is the big but of MISA yoginis and yogis who abuse their power and position given to them by their students or colleagues who trust them.

Another therm used is yoga students or people who follow the diverse courses organized by MISA or one of it's clone organizations. This also can not be veryfied because of the fact that the lists of yoga and othe course students are kept secret from the public eye. There are long and detailed lists made at every course, but these all end up in the hands of the MISA leaders, the students who sign these papers do not receive a copy of it (although it constitutes a contract and they as an organization should be obliged to give one) and they are not made public under no form.

On the Romanian anti MISA forums there have been made attempts to estimate the number of yoga course students based on the adding up of number of yoga magazines (edited by MISA and printed for free by the people living in the ashrams, and which are also sold for money, that goes into the pockets of unknown people) plus the number of people that can be seen on the biggest event of the year for MISA the so called yang spiral in Costinești every summer and the number of estimated students in the cities based on rumors, number of years and size of city.
At the end of this estimation a (very optimistic) number around 5-6000 people is given.
The 4-50000 number according to MISA also includes the students from outside Romania. But the most optimistic number of the total of students outside Romania is around 1-2000. Adding up these numbers you can only get max 8000 people. That is a long way from 40000.

So in all either we use the term member, yoga student, sympathetic person or any other therm there are way less people at the hand of MISA as they pretend.

Let's see a beautifully example of this.

MISA invents an international yoga day (but we can't find any evidence of this so called international day, but let's move on) and they want to show that MISA is innocent as a baby and no one has anything to fear of it and to do this they need to organize hatha yoga practice sessions and to show off their “invention” the so called yang spiral. What must they do? Just gather up a few of those 40000 students.
Let's see how many showed up.

Aaaa, that's 15 people for the Hatha yoga practice. There is no picture of the spiral, so we don't have information about that, but this is still incredibly bad performance.

Comments about the so called “international” yoga day in Arad, Romania

I certainly hope that this is not all of the people that were there but maybe the spiral is more popular. Let's see.

So 5 people in total. But this is just one picture. But considering the abundance of pictures from Brasov I can only interpret the small number of photos is that there were very few people and they were ashamed to put up more. But that's just my theory.
But let's see the spiral.

In the second picture on the left we can see a man in an orange t-shirt with wavy hair and on the right a bald man and a blond woman in a green t-shirt in the center. These are our reference points. These people can be observed in the wider picture where we can see the whole spiral and we can estimate the center of the spiral is made up of 8 people, and we ad to this the number of people that can be seen in the bigger picture 15.
So let's give them the benefit of doubt. Lets double the number of people in the big picture. Even so we get 30 people. That's very few for a big city like Arad.

About the so called international yoga day in Brasov

Because I know a lot of the people from the films posted on the non-official second website of the cult: the blog misa-yoga, on Blogspot, I will be commenting on some of the things being said by the propaganda-machine of MISA.
Firs I will address the problem of the therm “international” yoga day. A brief search on Google show us that the international organizations consider the international yoga day the 31st of January 2010 and respectively the 30th of October. Nowhere can we find the date given by MISA: the 8th of October.

The first thing we can notice is the once again artificially exaggerated number of participants: above 150 people according to the MISA-sources and the Romanian television channels, who just quoted the MISA source without counting.
Well I don't, so I counted (the best I could based on the low quality photos available, but a better and exact number of participants could be determined if one has sufficiently good quality photos from the event) the people in the photographs.
After counting the participants in this way we find 113 and 109 people.
The exaggeration is not as bad as the 40-50000 members instead of 3-4000 like they claim regarding the members or yoga students that MISA has, but still it's an exaggeration and it is being spread by the media and it's helping MISA sustain a pretty picture about themselves, which is not true.
If you want to verify yourself here are some pictures.

So in the first case we have 113 people and in the second 109. If we take into account the good old MISA tradition of coming to only one event and we consider this fluctuation of the number of people maybe then we can come to the total number of 150 people. But even in this case 37-41 people had to come and go from the beginning of the end of the whole event.

And the thought of 150 MISA-yogis is way exaggerated. I personally know people from the images that are not from Brasov, but because of the limited number of close-up images I can not identify more people. I know the following:

Here because of the overlapping of the two images it's not very clear but this is a woman I know and I saw her boyfriend on the film and so I can say with a pretty big certainty that it's her.

Her boyfriend can be seen on the following picture:

And on this one as well. He's the second one from the top. The other man in this picture is also not from Brasov.

As well as the woman in this picture who thinks MISA is equal to God.

All this of course does not mean that they did this deliberately. In Romania (if you are not from Romania and don't know how this works) it was, and sometimes still is a common practice at the time of elections that people were transported by a certain political party to different locations in order to give the impression that the party's sympathizers are more in number than they actually were. This is called electoral tourism. I am not saying that this is necessarily the same here (although in the case of the famous demonstrations in Bucharest, for which you can see advertising on the official MISA site, yogaesoteric.net, people are brought to the demonstration site in an organized matter. I know this because I participated in such a demonstration). In this case I think it's the case of advertisment of the event in other cities than Brasov. All of the people I mentioned above are active in their home town, they are present at the most private events of the yoga course so they were easily accesible and willing participants.

Another familiar face is that of Doina Tănăsoiu. If you don't know who she is, she held two conferences in Costinești (two as far as I know, she is with MISA since a long time ago so it's possible that she held more conferences along the years), last year about literature and love, and this year the conference titled “How can we avoid the Apocalypse, fulfilling in this manner our spiritual meaning” (Cum vom putea evita Apocalipsa, împlinindu-ne astfel menirea spirituală) on the 26th of August, together with her sister Cristina Tănăsoiu.

Which is her (and the most important person at the event, and at Brasov for that manner).

She sould be familiar because of her spectacular performances in several MISA porno movies.
For example in Extasy water

in Kingdom of golden pee

and Secrets of Seduction.

I suspect that she's responsible for informing the people form other cities about the event. She teaches in other cities and there she could advertise the event and convince others that it's incredibly important to go and support the good cause.
As I can deduce from her behavior that I could observe, she and her circle of friends are the heads of inventing this holliday.

And for those who don't know the famous MISA theaters one of them is in Brasov named Esoteria Artis. They had a couple shows last year at Costinești, they also organize the angel's week in Brasov. Link to their official site Esotera Artis
And when you enter the website (at least this was the case today on the 3rd of March 2010) you are greated by a song from the hit movie Slumdog millionaire that I suspect they don't have the rights necessary to use, but of course that's only a hunch.
The boss of the theater is her:

One of the girls from the theater

and another

The spiral
Just one question about the spiral: Why are they doing it in the wrong direction?
In the last year or so all the so called yang spirals are done with the people facing outside from the center. But as we can see on the pictures and in the film this time they are facing the other way.
Why? Can't they decide on how it should be done? They say that the “method” of the spirals is a direct revelation from God. If this is the case did God change his mind?
I suspect that they are doing it for one of the following reasons:
either to diversify things for the MISA-yogi's, so they don't get bored with the same old same old all the time
or to manipulate them with the frequent changes.

And before someone suspects me of being malevolent or a Freemason spy or a secret agent here are the proofs:
The firs is from this year's Mahashivaratri in Bucharest, the second from a last year's Herculane spiral, and the rest from this years Yin-Yang spiral, which is maybe the best example. Here you can observe the Yin spiral is with people facing outward from the center of the spiral and the Yang spiral is with people facing inwards.

This was also a good opportunity to display the quality of yogis MISA has. As you can observe for yourself most of the people present can't really do the asanas as they should be done.

For example here is the pose called Paschimottanasana by MISA. As you can see in the picture, almost no one does it right.

For comparison this is how the teach it during the courses, or here's a picture is from the Yoga Journal website for the correct execution.

Another example with Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose).

Picture from the Yoga Journal website.

You can see 11 people on this picture and only one person does it correctly. Those are some pretty bad odds.

So there you have it. The quality of MISA.

The MISA instructors

The yoga and other courses are leaded by the so called instructors. They have a special place in the Misa hierarchy. They organize and lead what happens at the courses. There are others called coordinators who do not share in the privileges of the instructors and who coordinate and lead the other courses (Shakti, Vira, Shivaism, Ayurveda, Master-disciple relationship etc.). They are considered the elite of the course and are considered infallible and the perfect example for the students.

The truly devoted Misa instructors have yoga classes on a daily basis, on every day of the week, including Sundays. Since the number of hours of a single yoga course is 4-5 hours, plus if your a good yogi you have in true Misa tradition you have at least a 2-3 hour tapas (spiritual practice) plus the yoga and other courses the instructors go to for their own pleasure, add to that the time needed for your personal or family stuff, after a few years you recognize that the best thing to do is to live off the yoga course.
Now why would this be a problem? In the eastern countries the yogis can beg and are usually supported by the community, no matter how poor it is. They also can live on the street, because the weather allows it, and of course because this is an excepted way of life there.
In the western countries if you do a few courses, take an exam and have enough money you can open up your own yoga studio or work for a yoga studio for money. This is a legitimate profession. And there is no problem with it. You learn all sorts of yoga stuff, practice it for a few years, you become good and you wish to share your knowledge with others or wish to help them discover the wonder of yoga. So you become a yoga teacher. This is good, and I totally agree with this. You ask people for a certain amount of money for your services and they pay when they come to you. This is also a good thing. This is an obvious business transaction. And there is nothing wrong with that.

But the problem at Misa is that the instructors are not like this. From the first second on they lie to the people who come to the yoga courses. They say that they do not receive money for their services, but they do it from the goodness of their heart. And you should be thankful for this. You should consider this a favor. And should look up to them for their big spiritual attitude. Of course this is not true, but is one of their manipulation methods: the students should feel stupid and inferior from second one so that they work even harder to live up to the expectations of the group and especially those of the instructor, who in this case is the substitute of the master. The all knowing aster who knows everything the students do or even think. This paranoid thought is induced from the first minutes of the first course. This is a Misa and a cult classic.
The instructors receive deductions from the money collected as course fee from the students for their travel expenses, from the yoga course fee and any other Misa course they participate in, and the camp fees. This is not money per say, but is a form of reward coming from above in the hierarchy.

Another problem is the fact that all of the instructors are smug and superior in their attitude towards the students and in general. They think that they are a special and better than everyone. They are one of the special groups inside Misa. Because of this they feel special and superior compared to everyone else.
This thought is supported by the leaders of the movement and the students.

They also are given the opportunity to sell all sorts of pyramid-schemes and Misa products. I don't know if this is true, because, yet again the information is not public, but according to the former students they pay a share to the leaders of Misa in order to be allowed to do this at the courses, officially. They also promote the books published by Misa, and I suspect that they receive some form of payment for this.

The second line of advantage is the power coming with the instructor position. They are in control of the information at the yoga or other courses. They bring in the written courses, brochures and in the advanced or “big years” the VHS tape with the audio course by the master. They control this and some of them use this to manipulate the students.
They also keep track of the number of times the students were at the yoga courses. The yoga course by Misa is organized in years of study, so far 19 years. In each year each student has a certain number of absences that are allowed if you had a reason and a certain number of absences without a reason. After a certain number of absences you had to repeat the year.
Misa always claims that all that is done at their courses is yoga, and that the courses they organize are just another course, like a cooking class or collecting stamps. Does all of this seem like it's just another course? Don't you think at another simple course you would be threatened with the humiliation of loosing a year. In Misa circles this would mean that you should be ashamed of yourself because you are not spiritual enough, you do not have enough aspiration. This is one of the biggest shames possible for a Misa student. The instructors have power over this. This is also a means of manipulation.

So in all it's not too bad to be an instructor for Misa.

MISA terms dictionary

This is a translation of a post on one of the Romanian forums exmisa. I think it's useful for those who wish to go to a yoga course organized by Misa, and to amuse those who did. And also to open the eyes of those who still are students. It's also a tribute to the Misa custom to put glossaries at the end of each book they publish, so that no one misunderstands what they are talking about.

Detachment-let him/her rot, it's his/her nasty karma
Shakti-an elevated being of feminine gender, vital, with tits to the waist, who masturbates with the help of a vibrator in front of a web camera, or does striptease to elevate the spiritual level of humanity.
Vira-know-it-all that uses the wooden language. Sometimes can be seen around a shakti, helping her in the planetary sublimation.
Karma-yogi – idiot who does not know his own value and lets other exploit him because of this.
Karma-yoghini – a sort of Shakti, but stupider, because she donates all she makes.
Enlightened person-old, horny guy, full of hate, smug, cheap, obsessed, forgetful, distracted, who knows how to attribute to himself informations he gathers and copies word by word from different sources. Urine-Misa beverage.
24 hour prayer-a moment to meat with God for a little gossip.
Consecration-or how to get rid of the responsibility for your actions.
Transfiguration-replacement for alcohol. Makes an ugly guy/girl in a beauty.
Samadhi-a legend from books, but something that no one from the Misa courses never experienced.
Meditation-the Misa version of the traditional siesta. Requires a musical background. In the superior forms the body is not immobile, but moves continuously.
Asanas-an inferior form of evolution at Misa. In the big years they use Tantra.
Laya-form of auto-suggestion consisting of the repeating of ultra-secret mantras that are available for free on the Internet, accompanied by a sound in the head. In the superior stages it leads to meditation. (for the definition of meditation see above)

Yoga student-the one who pays the fee.
Yoga student with spiritual aspirations-future Vira and initiated men. (see definition above)
Mantras-secret words, that exist for free on the Internet, used in the Laya yoga technique, and the pronunciation of which is a mystery to the Misa students and instructors and the enlightened man himself.
Kashmir shivaism-compilation of informations by means of copy-paste made by Nicu (Nicolae Catrina former president of Misa) from various sources which he defined as poorly educated. Compilation out of which all of the elements that are not in accordance with the Misa leaders and direction were taken out.
Blessing-mysterious technique through which we can get rid of the need to help someone in need whith money.
Jnana yoga-a form of yoga in which the evolution is based on awareness. It is a form of yoga unrecommended at Misa, considered to be without use.
God-all-powerful, all-knowing, all-compassing being, to which the yogis report when they forget or loose the photo of the master.

Money issues

The course fee
In order to participate in the so called yoga courses you have to pay a monthly fee. When we asked in the first year what the fee was for the answer was that it is necessary to pay for the rent of the room where the courses were held, and for the different costs like water, heating, electricity etc. Also for the written course. These are printed in the Misa printing house, by the so called karma yogis, who live in the Misa ashrams (this means for free), on a very cheap paper, so you could guess, it's not something very expensive. This means that the students pay four times for the course. First for the printed course, and for the ashrams supporting the people who print the courses.

I don't know how it is outside Romania but we never received any form of receipt or any fiscal evidence for our money. This is illegal. The only thing we received for our money was a stamp and the instructors autograph on the yoga id (also produced by MISA). Also we were told that the instructors do not receive any money for their services. But they collect the money for the course (in cash), they take it to Bucharest once a month and they can deduct their course-related costs from this money (first form of payment). They also received discounts from the camp fees which are approx. 60 EUR two-three times a year (second form of payment). They also receive a deduction from the yoga and related courses fees (third form of payment). So the affirmation that the instructors do not receive any money for their services being a yoga instructor for MISA allows them to save up to half of the costs of that their regular students - who are not so privileged - have to pay.

Since all of the fees were always collected in cash, all of the profit was and still is and will be in cash, without any form of evidence and so anything can be done with this money, without the burden of having to answer for what they do with it. Even if Grieg is the wonderful, above-it-all spiritual master that they claim he is, do you really think that all of the other hundreds of people who handle Misa's money on a daily basis are so pure and perfect that they never-ever-ever once in the past 20 years have not done anything with this money?

The ashrams
The ashrams are sustained by the money from the regular students. The Romanian forums are full of the stories of yoga students men and women who say that a lot of the girls in the ashrams do video-chat to make money. Some even say that this is something that was and still is an officially recognized way to do their share of karma yoga that is mandatory for the yogis who stay there on a daily basis.
From what I understand the ashrams work in the following way. Most of the ashrams are in Bucharest There are three ashrams that I know of, but like many of the information regarding MISA, are not public. So I can not say with 100% accuracy what the number of ashrams are in Romania. Outside of Romania there are other ashrams as well. These places from what I understand based on their public information that is to be found on their homepage, have the purpose to be the place of the yoga and related courses
The ashram consist basically of one or more buildings where the misa yogis or ashramists stay. If one of the yoga students of misa wishes to stay in a misa ashram they have to send a letter to the master (Grieg) asking him to allow him or her to stay in an ashram. They also have to send the mandatory pictures and personal information. Another way of getting in a Misa ashram is to be invited by Grieg personally This option is available mainly for the good looking women and the men from Grieg's inner circle. Now the average misa yogi who only goes to the yoga courses and the meditations and or camps think at this point that this is all fine and dandy but they certainly do not allow others inside the ashrams. But sadly this is not true. Based on the preferences of the bosses of the individual ashrams, anyone could get in and stay there for free for various period of time.

The costs related to the ashrams are supported by the different courses organized by MISA. And other supposed forms of income, that are not illegal, but are very much hypocritical and very-very wrong coming from the members of a so called spiritual school and spiritual people.

Also according to some of the former students there are some special smaller luxury ashrams for the special yoghinis or preferred girls of the Mis VIP's or Grieg himself. One of these luxury ashrams is located in Costinești. I was invited to this luxury ashram in 2008 and I saw the conditions there. I stayed in the same room with a few girls from these special ashrams.
Because I never was in the main ashrams, in Bucharest, I have to base the following information on the accounts of the former members. They say that the living conditions there are poor. They don't receive enough food, they have to work very much. Also they are used to organize mass protests supporting Misa's causes, and to do special meditations for saving the planet, manipulating the political situation in the country, for favorable court decision for Grieg etc.
The only ashram I stayed in was the one of the Costinești ashrams, called Lotus. If you've been in summer camp there you know the building. It is across the street from the so called comandament, where you pick up your camp id.
The conditions were not so good, but I guess that depends on each persons individual needs or preferences There were separate rooms for men and women, but there were rooms available for married couples in the other building, called Rai (meaning heaven) across the street. This is the big building where the comandament is. In the Lotus ashram there was a special room where couples could go to make love. There was a key to this room, which was at the yogi who was in service for guarding the entrance for the building.
The rooms are small, with bunk beds. Three people stayed in one room, but it was a bit too much. If all of us were in the room at the same time, with our bags put against the wall, we barely had room to move.
The karma yogis who stayed here for the duration of the summer camp received food twice a day in the cafeteria under the room where all of the activities are held in the first period of the camp. The food was also prepared by karma yogis. It was not much, but most of the time you could go back for seconds after the serving time was over.
There was almost never warm water in the building. If we wanted to wash our clothes we had to do this in cold water, by hand, and we had to take the clothes to dry to a separate garden two doors down.
In the rest of the year few people stay here, but it's the same thing.

Other services offered by MISA

Naturist products

The Divine star, Dacia plant and other naturist products lines, are owned by Misa. On paper the firms on the names of someone close to the Misa inner circle, so that the authorities can not say that Misa has any means of income that should be taxed. The money from these go to the pockets of the leaders and also fuel the movement.
There are also no name brands commercialized inside the yoga courses, for which the instructors do promotion saying that it's important that everyone takes this or that plant that they can provide you with. Some of these are said to be special for preventing different diseases like the avian-flu, SARS, and whatever is in the news.
Lately they keep the composition of some of these products secret for a “certain reason”, which of course you never can find out, because this would mean that everyone can make these plant mixtures and no one would buy it from them. An example for this is the so called trance plant mixtures. There are different varieties: for romantic trance and trance forte. The recipe for these are secret because of “certain reasons”. This is written on the package.

Printing houses
Misa publishes esoteric books, the yoga, ayurveda, shivaism, shakti, and special courses, two magazines (Yoga magazine and Revista misterelor). These publishing houses publish the works of the privileged Misa students and the works of Gregorian Bivolaru (Grieg).
The publications are sold at the yoga courses, the spirals, the camps, and also publicly. The instructors also promote these books at the yoga courses and at the different events.

A few questions

Dear reader,
After reading the above post, please take a moment and reflect on the following question:
Why does a supposedly enlightened spiritual master need to see his disciples naked?
This is the most important question in my opinion in the case of the so called viluta.

Some other questions also arise out of this. Like:
Why are the HIV and syphilis test a requirement for the admission in the camps? Who are they that they require such an evidence from their students? An employer in Romania has no such right. Why do they consider themselves better and more powerful than the government and the police, who have no such right?
What are they doing with the hundreds of naked photos they take each year? The women who pose for these photos do this in order to receive the invitation, and they do not sign any papers releasing the rights for these photos to those who took them.
Where does the money come for the food and other costs of maintaining the vila?
Why aren't the informations about the vila public? Or even known by the ordinary member of Misa?
Why are the supposed 35000 students of Misa informed about these things?
Why is this used as a means of rewarding the women and girls who promote the ideas of Misa?
If Misa is truly a spiritual school, who's purpose is to elevate the spiritual level of our planet, as they say, then why are they lying in this manner? Why are there special and not so special categories of students inside the school? Why are only the young and pretty girls invited? Why is there still snobbery and elitism present among the leaders of this so called spiritual school?

Viluță

In Costinesti, where the annual "International Yoga Symposium" is organized, there is a vila, propriety of Misa, where each year girls and women from the yoga courses are invited. I say girls because I knew personally two girls who were underage at the time they stayed in the vila. All of the rules were mandatory for them as well. Please keep this in mind while you read the following post. And also keep in mind that according to the official MISA standpoint they never ever did anything that was any sort of danger to minors.

Access in this vila is restricted to the few VIP-s of the course.
I received one of these invitations and I vent to the vila for two weeks. The picture above is the proof for this.
The translation of the text of the invitation is as follows:

"For the woman who has become a wonderful SHAKTI (Secret Feminine Force of Nature) many of the extraordinary benefits become easily possible.
Her supernatural, enigmatic force, to influence in a paranormal way in her own universe as well as in the immediate or distant environment, in which she exists, they prove in an unutterable way THE FASCINATING MANIFESTATION OF THE ETERNAL FEMININE (witch exists in a latent state in the MICRO COSMOS of every WOMAN).
For the wise THE FORM OF THE BODY, THE FACE, GLANCE, as well as THE DIFFERENT PREVALENCES that appear (NOT AT ALL COINCIDENTALLY) at a fizical level of the FIZICAL BODY OF THE WOMAN are every time the reflection of an ineffable INTERIOR NECESSITY (that are already latently dynamic in the depths of the human being).
This is why people say: "EVERY TIME THE FORM OF THE BODY OF A HUMAN BEING AS WELL AS THIS PERSONS FACE ARE A MYSTIC REFLEXION OF NECESSITY".
The occult force of a woman who became SHAKTI consists also in awakening the capacity to boost, to regenerate and to transform easily herself with the help of the SEXUAL POTENTIAL witch is transmuted in a HUGE ENERGY. This is one of the secrets of SHAKTI.
The human being who reaches this ample and deep mysteries of the body, succeeds in knowing the secrets of the UNIVERSE. She discovers in this way that the BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (which is a sublime form of SHAKTI)."

Once we arrived at Costinesti and went to the so called Comandament, where the participants of the Symposium pick up their id's, we were sent to the vila. There we waited in one of the hallways for about 2 hours. In the meantime we were given to read a two page rulebook of the vila. This was taken away by the organizers after we entered the next room.
There we were put to swear that we will respect the rules. The invitation was taken away, and we had to give something important that was ours (our Id's for example) that we were assured will receive back when we leave.
We were also informed that the following day there will be a photo session in which we have to participate or our invitation is revoked and we will have to leave. The photo session consisted of nude photos and a nude short film in which we had to turn around once slowly while one of the organizer girls read out aloud our name, year of yoga course, horoscope, nitya, and place of residence. After the photo session we were sent in a room and we had to fill out a form.
In the form we had to write various personal information, and we had to answer a bunch of questions. Among others we had to write precisely when we will have time to go to Sweden to meet with Grieg, Gregorian Bivolaru, the so called spiritual leader of Misa. And we had to answer with yes or no to a question which was approximately as follows: If I will not participate (for whatever reason) in the two meditations with Grieg, specially offered for the girls in this vila, I consider that I do not deserve to be here, now or in the future.

We were told which are our rooms and we were sent on our merry way.
Among our obligations was to participate in certain special conferences that were programed in specific days. The presence was obligatory. There was such a conference at approximately two days. They took in account the other big events in the program of the camp. On these occasions there were no such conferences.
The conferences were in form of a video, on which Ms. Aida Calin the major Shakti Group coordinator from the capital, talked about various themes, all sexually related. All of these videos were recorded in the vila we were in on a previous occasion. After each such conference we had to watch a porno movie. And after that there was a seven minute meditation with the great cosmic power Tripura Sundari in order to sublimate the sexual energy awoken by the movie.

If we wanted to leave the vila for the night we had to announce the organizers. There was a special notebook for this.

The camp fee, the materials, and the food were included. The girls at the vila had access to absolutely every event for free. Or should I say at the expense of the paying participants of the camp.
In the vila on every floor (there are 4 floors) was a refrigerator, which was filled every morning with sweets, cheese, dairy. In the court, which was covered by a big yellow plastic and surrounded by a metal fence from every side, there was a sink, a stove, and boxes filled with potatoes, tomatoes, and bread backed in the mess hall across the street, by and for the karma yogi's who participated in the organizing of the camp. Every other day a truck came and brought melons which were put out in the court also. Everyone from the vila could eat anything, anytime, as much as she liked.
The girls also had access to the mess hall and received two hot meals a day, for free, of course.
We also received the whole package (books, Cd-s, and so on) that was given at the camp.
Before we left we received another package with the message "It's from Grieg." which also contained books, Cd's and a special underwear: a pair of fetish style panties.
The rooms were various in size. There were rooms in which 14 or so girls stayed. There were common bathrooms on each floor. On the ground floor the shower cabins were made in such away in which you could see the others. There were no shower curtains or doors, or anything.
Hot water was very rare. There were solar panels on the top of the building, but we had hot water only  rarely, and for short amounts of time.
There was also a special room where you could make an appointment to receive a massage (erotic of course), which could be also used by couples (only girls from the vila of course) for a special tantric meeting.
Most of the girls there knew each other from past years. Most of them were from the capital and lived in the Misa ashrams. They also were in some way or another connected to the VIP organizers of the camp. This was the real cause of their invitation, not the special selection made by Grieg that was perpetuated at the Misa folklore. The majority of the girls had participated in the organizing of some Misa propaganda activity, and this was their reward.
There were probably girls that were selected based on the preferences of the master, but the majority were from this category.
Men were not allowed to enter the vila. Except for the guy who took out the garbage and the VIPs of organizing. There was female members of the so called Order team guarding the entrance at all times. The girls from the vila had a special pink id, that said invitation on it, and based on which they could enter the vila. Every time someone who wished to leave the vila, they were searched, so they don't take anything from the vila. Every room was equipped with a stereo, portable CD player (some of them with TV's, in which we watched the conferences and pornos), Cd's, books. In the baths there were deodorants, perfumes available for everyone to use. Each of these items had the inscription "Vila invitatelor" written on them. These could be used by everyone, but could not be taken out of the vila.
There was a program based on which each room on each floor was for cleaning service on each day. The girls who stood in this room had the obligation to bring the sweets and other food to the refrigerator on their floor in the morning, clean the bathroom on the floor and the hallway. There were vacuum cleaners available. The vila also had a wash-room to which the girls in the vila could give their laundry for washing. They could not use these washing machines, they had to give it to someone, and would have their clothes back the next day.

Before you left the vila you had to do another photo session, and video shoot. The procedure was the same. If you did not participate in this, you did not get your ID back, and were intimidated with loosing the possibility to return to the vila in the following years.

The girls in the vila were from other countries as well, not just Romania. And some were from very small years of yoga course (1-2 etc).

Swearing on the Bible

Lately they took up the following habit:
anything and everything you wish to participate in requires you to swear on the Bible with approximately the following formula

"I swear in front of God, on my health and my future spiritual evolution, that I will not reveal the secrets I am about to learn/the details of this initiation that I will receive today, except for my spiritual leader and the other participants of this initiation. So help me God. Amen. Amen. Amen."

My background

The PR specialists at the official Misa site and propaganda office like to say that all those who do not agree with them or criticize them are members of the so called freemasonry, or are former spies of the Romanian secret service, payed by the latter to write against Misa. More on that later.
At this time I would like to state that I was never a member of the Romanian secret service, I never had any sort of conscious contact with any of their employees, I never have (and my purpose is not to receive in the future)any form of remuneration, payment, reward, or any sort of benefit from them.
The purpose of this blog is to inform everyone who is currently at one of the Misa courses, or is planing to go.
I write the blog in English so that not only those who are from Romania can understand it. In Romania there are 3 forums/sites where you can read about the experiences of former students of Misa. Misa has several branches in other countries where the people don't understand Romanian. For those of you who would still be interested in the original sites you can find the links to them here, they have English pages as well (or just simply write in English people will understand and respond to you), but for those pages for which you don't find an English version, I recommend google translate. It does a pretty good job of translating.

Because

I was a MISA yoga student for almost four years.
In this time I participated in different courses, camps, spirals, extra activities etc.
I went to super-special initiations in Bucharest, shakti groups, and I was a super-special guest in the super-special villa in Costineşti.

In the first period it was all nice and pretty, but things started to become fishy. First the unnecessary paranoia (2012 end of the world, demons, exorcisms etc.) and other stupid beliefs started to bother me. And I started to look for the truth about these claims. I found many of them to not be true. I also started to notice the smug and superior attitude of the other students towards people not in the cult. I also looked into cult characteristics and found that most of them fit MISA a bit too well.
So I slowly lost the romantic view about them.

The following accounts are based on my experience in these years as well as my current opinions about their beliefs, actions and claims.
