MISA not a unique case

I've just found these articles connecting the recently immensely popular "Eat, pray, love" book and movie and a cult called Siddha Yoga Dham of America.

An interesting point about the cult and it's evolution till today. Eerily similar with the current state of the MISA guru Magnus Aurolson. 

MISA member of ….

In the article posted in May 2005 and still up on the official MISA website that states that MISA is a member of the International Yoga Federation as well as other various international yoga organizations. Now let's see if they are (since they didn't remove the article from the site and if someone find this article they can think that it's still true. It's not and this is a blatant lie, which they should know that is not only illegal but also forbidden by their own teachings in the very first year, so they should know). 

The first site cited is the website of the International Yoga Federation. 

The site is not available now. 

But the International Yoga Federation I found is here. And there the list of member organizations does not mention MISA nor their Danish/Swedish/Russian/any other branch Natha. 

The next organization mentioned is the European Yoga Federation. 

The website for this organization is given as 

http://www.europeyogafederation.cjb.net/ which is also not available. But on the site we can find the recognized organizations by continent and looking at the European section we can't find anything similar to the MISA or Natha schools. 

The next organization is the European Yoga Alliance. No website is given in the article but after a few seconds of search we can find the site.  Here if we look at the list of the council members we can't find the name of neither Gregorian Bivolaru nor Mihai Stoian. Nor can we find their names at the list of board members. 

Also at the list of member organizations we can't find MISA nor NATHA. 

But let's look at the list of individuals registered at the European Yoga Alliance. Nope, their not there either. 

Nor are they on the registered people list on the international yoga registry list for Romania. 

Or Denmark. The only person registered at the International Yoga Registry in Denmark (Natha's home) is Meta Yoga. 

But the article makes a point of differentiating between the international and the European yoga councils and organizations. Ok, let's see the World Yoga Council Europe section. No, their not there either. 

And in another article they criticize the (oh the horror of) practicing yoga as a sport. So I'm guessing their not a member of the International Yoga Sports organization. Well of course not. 

How about those international congresses organized by MISA?

According to the International Yoga Registry's site regarding news mentions the conferences since 1986 till 2010 but MISA is missing in an absolute manner. 

How about that? 

So what was all that big spectacle in 2006 with the “international” and since even more “international” congress that they organized? 

This year the congress was exclusively MISA. And they went as far as giving the prizes of the conference contest to Natha teachers. The winner of course was Adina Stoian, the female counterpart of MISA nr. 2 Mihai Stoian and the current boss of MISA. 

Ok, so the final count is? No international organization recognizes MISA or any of their other branches as their member. Great. Now why can't they admit that? 

MISA and the practice of Satya

I was just looking at the list of current members of the International Yoga Federation, because I was reading on Gregorian Bivolaru's official website that he was a lifelong member.

Turns out he's not, but that's nothing new. A certain woman by the name of Maa Parvathi Nath Saraswati cought my eye. According to the description she is based in India and the Co-Director of the School of Awakening, U.K. And the Saraswati River Yoga USA. I thought I'd do a search for these schools maybe their in English. And lo and behold:

Turns out the British branch is closed now 

But apparently the US school is active (last class was on November the 26th if it's 2010, because it does not specify)

What I found strange is that the founder (note the reference to her as the founder) was being promoted a bit too much for my cultish sensitive taste so I went to her website. 

And the first thing that greets you there is a big picture of Parvathi (note the use of the chosen spiritual name instead of the civil name) in a classic yoga pose sitting on what appears to be a jaguar skin. I don't know if this is a classic Hindu imagery or not but the newagers do love this image. 

Reading on her website and the website of the yoga school I kept finding passages or phrases that reminded me very much of the cultish texts of MISA. For example: 

Parvathi is the disciple of Lalita Devi and heir of the deepest tantric tradition of Kashmirian Shaivism. The lineage of the Nath goes back to Matsyendranath himself and through him to the oldest sources of Shaivism. 

MISA loves the  Kashmirian Shaivism too.

She received the transmission of the deepest teachings of the Kaula lineage and became an adept in the art of mantras and the different sadhanas. She practiced the sadhana of the Ten Mahavidyas dedicated to Kali, Tara, Tripurasundari, Bhuvaneshvari, Chinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Baglamukhi, Matangi and Kamala. Then she was initiated to the teachings and cosmic practice of Shree Vidya that she transmits today. As the years passed she also received training in the Mishra and Samaya schools of Tantra. She is heir to three profound streams of Tantra and Yoga lineage.

 Not just one but three ey? Wow three for the price of one.

She trains teachers in this integrated method of yoga transmitted originally from the yoginis, the Vedas and the Tantras. 

The aim of Parvathi's teaching is to assist men and women's growth in integrating the depths of consciousness including the physical, the mental, and the spiritual levels. To bring the individual consciousness at its fullest to merge with something greater - the integral whole of consciousness. 

Under the Traditional Sadhana Opportunities (teachings and practice) section we find the following statement:

If you are not known to Parvathi, a letter of introduction will be required from a spiritual teacher.

Do they have to send in photos of themselves in bikini's (two pieces for women, one piece for men) as well? 

Under Sadhana Descriptions we find description's of a few of the Ten Mahavidyas mentioned above, which strike me as very similar to the version taught at MISA.

Stunningly beautiful, radiating the brilliant yellow light of a thousand suns, Baglamukhi is the stillpoint where duality is transcended as the mind returns to emptiness. (….)

The email address that is given for contact is also similar to another MISA superstition: magical names. In MISA the most advanced or spiritual desciples also use such usernames and email addresses inspired by Hindu mithology. 

Please email tripurasundari9@gmail.com for an appointment and for fees. 

But on the upside (or maybe not) at least she notes that:

Private consultations are not psychotherapy and this work is not meant as a substitute for psychotherapy or as an alternative to seeking medical treatment.

And also there's another disclaimer on the front page regarding Tantra:

This is not to be confused with neo-Tantra sexuality from which Parvathi and this lineage distinguishes themselves. 

So all in all my impressions of a world yoga council recognizes yoga school are not much better than those of MISA. Maybe the only differences are that they post disclaimers on their sites and maybe don't organize in ashrams but sell their classes in gym membership style because it's a faster profit. Hey maybe this woman does not have aspirations to become a spiritual guide to the largest yoga school on the continent like Grieg but I'd say the potential is still there. 

Not to mention the pseudo-science which is even more shamefull because 

As a young girl Parvathi traveled throughout America, Europe and India due to her father's profession as a scientist.

Now maybe that's a different kind of scientist than the one I'm thinking of.

Now why the long post about some American yoga teacher and her school? Not to attack them or anything (although I don't agree with her on many things) just to note that the unofficial yet close to the leadership of MISA blog uses her image to promote their ideas.

Now if Ms. Kirin Mishra would like to distance herself from “neo-Tantra sexuality from which Parvathi and this lineage distinguishes themselves” why did she give consent that her picture be up on such a site that promotes the heavily neo-Tantra school MISA? 

Oh wait, maybe she didn't? No way that could be considered theft of intellectual propriety and a breach of the basic human right to define oneself.*

The favorite science fiction author of MISA: Baba Vanga

Lately the MISA sites are full (there are more of course) of the oh, so guarantied-to-come-true prophecies of a now deceased Bulgarian medium named Baba Vaunlikeleyunlikeleynga. They are of course sure that she confirmed their crazy ideas about the future of mankind. And of course their special role in it all.

Now I have my own hypothesis about these prophecies. I hereby submit the hypothesis that she was actually a not too original sci-fi writer wannabe. For an alternate list of prophecies see here and here.
See the list of supposed things to come below:

2008 - Assassination attempts on four heads of states. Conflict in Indonesia. That becomes one of the causes for the start of WWIII.(*personal note: well this didn't happen)

2010 - The start of WWIII. The war will begin in November of 2010 and will end in October of 2014. Will start as a normal war, then will include usage of nuclear and chemical weapons.(*update on the 14th of January 2011 and there's still no world wide war. According to this we should be in full war mode for 2 moths now)

2011 - Due to the radioactive showers in Northern Hemisphere - no animals or plants will be left.(*personal note: so those of you who like to eat, enjoy those burgers and stuff till' then) Muslims will begin chemical war against Europeans who are still alive.

2014 - Most of the people in this world will have skin cancer and skin related diseases. (as a result of chemical wars).

2016 - Europe is almost empty

2018 - China becomes the new world power.

2023 - Earth’s orbit will change slightly

2025 - Europe is still barely populated

2066 - During it’s attack on Rome (which is under control of the Muslims) U.S.A. uses a new method of weapons - has to do with climate change. Sharp freezing.

2076 - No class society (communism)

2084 - The rebirth of the nature.

2088 - New disease. - People are getting old in few seconds.(see the Stargate SG1 sci-fi series episode Brief Candle)

2097 - This disease is cured.

2100 - Man made Sun (see the move 2010 Space Odyssey II) is lighting up the dark side of the planet Earth.

2111 - People become robots. (see anything by I. Asimov)

2123 - Wars between small countries. Big countries don’t get evolved.

2125 - In Hungry the signals from Space are received. (Contact, E.T., 80% of sci-fi really) (People will be reminded of Vanga again)

2183 - Colony on Mars (see the movie Total recall) becomes nuclear nation and is asking for independence from the Earth. (same way as U.S. did from England)

2201 - Thermonuclear reactions on the Sun slow down. Temperatures Drop.

2221 - In the search of Alien life, human beings engage with something very freighting. (*personal note think Alien)

2256 - Spaceship brings a freighting new disease into Earth.

2262 - Orbits of planets start to change progressively. Mars is under a threat of being hit by a comet.(that needs paranormal powers to predict LOL. Funny because "Mars is located closer to the asteroid belt, so it has an increased chance of being struck by materials from that source. Mars is also more likely to be struck by short-period comets, i.e., those that lie within the orbit of Jupiter.")

2271 - Physic properties are calculated over, since they changed. (*personal note: what does this even mean????)

2273 - Mix of yellow, white, and black race. New race. (too bad that nice old racist Vanga didn't know that we are all ONE race, there are not more human races, we are one race biologically speaking, so this is impossible)

2279 - Energy out of nothing (probably from vacuum or black holes)

2288 - Travel through time. New contacts with the aliens.(*need I point out how frequent a them this is in sci-fi movies and novels?)

2291 - Sun cools. Attempts to fire it up again are taken.(this has recently been adapted as the movie Sunshine)

2296 - Bright flashes on the Sun. Force of gravity changes. Old space stations and satellites begin to fall

2299 - In France, there is a partisan uprising against Islam.

2302 - New important new laws and mysteries about the universe are uncovered.

2304 - The mystery of the Moon is uncovered. (*personal note: wonder what that is?)

2341 - Something frightening is closing in with Earth from the space. (like int that shitty move Armageddon with Bruce Willis?)

2354 - Accident on one of the man made suns, will result in drought.

2371 - Mighty hunger.

2378 - New and fast growing race.

2480 - Two man made suns will collide. Earth is in the dark.

3005 - War on Mars. Trajectory (maybe orbit of the planets, trajectory makes no sense here since the planets are not falling, going or doing anything requiring this term. They are orbiting the Sun because of the Sun's gravitational field. But this may just be a bad translation.) of planets changes.

3010 - Comet will ram into the Moon. (Not the first time that's happened. "The other major geologic process that has affected the Moon's surface is impact cratering, with craters formed when asteroids and comets collide with the lunar surface. There are estimated to be roughly 300,000 craters wider than 1 km on the Moon's near side alone") Around Earth there is a belt of rocks and dust

3797 - By this time, everything living on Earth dies. But humans are able to put in the essentials for the beginning of a new life in a new star system.

Well, it's a bit repetitive, not too original, but it sure seems more like fiction then something plausible. On the other hand looking at the history of Earth so far this seems way too boring and so that probability that things will get this dull is very unlikely also. But from a semi-illiterate or illiterate woman born and raised in the first half of the last century's rural Bulgaria it's not too bad. 

Sensational new book launching by Gregorian Bivolaru (who actually is called Magnus Aurolson now but never mind that)

On various sites affiliated with MISA we can see a brand new ad for the new and improved book by spiritual master*, spiritual school leader**, yoga teacher*** Gregorian Bivolaru.****

On Gregorian Bivolaru's official site. But that's not too bad. I's his book he can promote it all he wants. 

Also interesting to note the editor's(Mihai Stoian) note to the book launching:

"I am very happy to announce the launching of the book “The Secret Tantric Path of Love to Happiness and Fulfillment in a couple relationship” written by Yoga Professor Gregorian Bivolaru, as a result of years of research and deep understanding on the human emotions, psychic and mind."

The author Gregorian Bivolaru does not have any degree nor in medicine, nor psychology, nor has he published any research in any peer reviewed scientific paper. He is not a researcher. This book can only contain his personal opinions but not research in any sense of the word. What he defines as research is  making his disciples wait for him for hours in an uncomfortable hot tent in August of every year. As for his publishing career, that si limited to the Yoga magazine the monthly/yearly publication of MISA about and for their own students, yogaesoteric the MISA official site and his books published by various MISA publishing houses. 

A former version of the book was already given to the participants of the 2006 MISA camp in Costinești. 

Spoiler alert: it's not that good. It's very boring and long winded full of MISA specific expressions that outsiders might not understand. 

On the official site's front page, nice to see that a non-profit organization for the elevation of the spiritual level of humanity is pimping a book.

Scandalous news great for propaganda

Since the end of September there was a shocking news going about in MISA and ex-misa circles about a MISA instructor that was beheaded in Japan. First they were silent about it, then they released a statement that said that the news was not true (without any evidence of course, we were just supposed to believe it just because they said it and it appeared on the official site yogaesoteric.net) and now this clip in which the supposedly dead woman appears and states that she's fine and that there's a conspiracy against her beloved and divine guided "spiritual school".

Of course I am a bit more skeptical now then I was in my MISA days so I didn't really believe either side, because of the way they were presenting it, and was waiting for soem evidence. Now that's finally here.

I'd still say it's not what was necessary but it is sufficient. I'm just wondering why didn't they start with this.

But this made me laugh. The statement before the clip includes the following phrase:

"We take the opportunity to to provoke in a more serious manner the newspaper Curentul to a bet: we ask the newspaper to bring evidence to the grave calumnies published. We affirm with responsability and fermly that no one at MISA was killed or beaten. The worth of the bet? 1 million euros."

So they are proposing a bet about something that can not be proven by anyone. Neither the newspaper not them. But that's not the point of this of course. The point is th show that they are superior and better than anyone else and always right. Talk about humility.

And I would be curious where a non-profit organisation gets the funds for bets. I'm not a lawyer but it does not seem correct that they have about 3 million euros set aside for several bets against their enemies.

Or do they? That's not a good prospect either. That just means they are lying and are never willing to pay the bet. One of which includes the production of porno movies by MISA which was proven and I'm not aware of the fact that they payed the people they made the bet with (unilaterally of course).

But still this bet is really really wrong.

First the problem is that they are making the bet after it can be decided. The first obvious conclusion is of course that they were not sure either. They are supposed to have paranormal powers to see any time in the past and the future. Weren't they able to tell before this clip was made? Don't they have contact with an instructor? Don't they have internet, land lines, carrier pigeons in Japan?
To illustrate this point let me show you a little cartoon.

Second they are making bets about the death of an instructor in their school.

Third the "no one from MISA was beaten or killed". No you can't make a bet around this statement. It's not verifiable. You can't prove a negative. And by the way if someone finds one person who is from MISA (which of course is conveniently left undefined to mean anyone from the yoga or other courses, the VIP's of MISA, the founders of the organisation or some other definition. They used this trick before so I'm pretty sure that's the purpose of it) was beaten (also how many times and what form of beating is enough for them is not defined) are they willing to pay up? I'm pretty sure not. Of course they will modify the therms of the bet if it turns out to be true. I mean come on. Over 40.000 people in their courses and no one was ever in such a situation? I'd say the odds are against this, but again they don't have so many students. But that's another discussion.

And he hints that the interesting, and actually pretty light effect seen in them are due to some miracle and a special sign by one of these goddesses or should I say godASSES that his gang is the coolest in the univers on all phisical and spiritual planes.

Why they have to play such games and why can't the godedess in question (the indian goddess Kali) descend or appear (I don't know what they are supposed to do) and tell everyone that "I, the goddess (pardon misan term missing, cosmic power) support this organisation and everything they do."

is beyond me. That is all they would need. Why wont they pray day and night for something like this, because they do 24 hour "spiritual" marathons (ștafetă) for lesser things. But hey, it seem s to make sens to them.

But still. The guy is either ignorant (which can be cured by a little studying) or willingly misleading (for which there is no cure). The effect has probably something to do with the sunlight. I'we seen this many-many times before and if you don't have it but really need it for marketing purposes, oh say the "International" yoga conference in Bucharest organised by MISA?

So, as we know MISA promises the development of creativity and spiritual connection to Akasha (the memory of the Universe that contains all the knowledge that ever existed or ever will exist) and the divine. So I was quite surprised (not really) that I found the following image

This is a magazine named Asana. Now let's take a look at a MISA publication the so called Yoga Magazin, which is published by the MISA owned publishing house Lux Sublima.

Well that's interesting. How about those copyright laws? How about that creativity, originality?

The least I would expect is for all the advanced techniques they learned in the past 20 years, they should be at least capable to design an original magazine cover. I guess not.

Another example is the cover of one of the most important books about MISA (at least in their view) is also a stolen image. And this I really don't understand. Didn't they find 10 MISA yoghis to pose for a picture? Or were they not willing because it's not a nude picture, because for nude pictures in spight of the whole sex scandal the MISA photographers like Costică Cojocaru, Malin Oloier, or Pierre Crie are able to find willing girls to pose for them naked, but not for a book cover, about how they were persecuted in the communist era? Come on!

A few thoughts regarding the ending of the case at Sibiu

So the court has decided to not convict GB. The did not say that he was innocent, but they did not condemn him. This makes me a bit sad, and a disappointed in the justice system, not like I was expecting that a miracle will happen and the result would be against GB. Alright, but that's not the point. I personally was not hurt by GB in the manner that he is accused in these cases (and of course this does not mean that this didn't happen to anyone on this Universe!), my problem is with the dogma promoted by MISA and the way of thinking perpetuated by them. And because they perceive that this is a HUGE win for their case (it is not) they will become even more smug and continue in their ways as until now. This is sad, because as an organization (especially one as large as they are saying they are aka over 30000 students, in reality at most 6000) should have changes, this is normal. An organization, and especially it's leaders should have periodical examinations and evaluations of their performance and effectiveness. Not only in so called spiritual schools but also in companies. This is a normal and common practice in organizational context, but not so in a cult, and the cult that MISA is. They are sure they are right and after this will almost certainly yell this example at anyone who criticize them from now on. This is a sad phenomenon and it is one of the most disgusting aspects that I experienced in MISA. Even if they wouldn't claim to be all knowing and enlightened at least the common decency should make them realize that this is not a good attitude. But sadly they never learn. And if someone in MISA learns and understands this and it's consequences, he or she will not be able to continue as before inside the cult. They either would have to leave or to lie to themselves that these "minor" facts and consequences do not matter. I fell under the lather category until recently, but luckily for the internet and what I read in this period of doubt made me realize that I have to take the step to the first stage.

The result of the court case at Sibiu

The decision in the first degree is that GB is innocent, well sort of. The court didn't exactly say that he is innocent, but some judicial term I don't really understand, but  it means  something in the lines of we can't decide and suspend the case (or decide not to pursue the matter further).

And how did this come across on the major channel of truth or better known as the website and blog of the greatest spiritual school in the universe.

Well let's see.

This is the official page of MISA and the article highlighted in green on the top reads: The result of the court's decision was announced: Greogian Bivolaru is innocent. 

Well not exactly. This is only one case and he was (yet again, just think of Crina Kalec's statement that GB received political asylum because the court decided that he was innocent, in both cases the answer is no) sent to court with other charges as well. 

But a personal note, after this I don't really think that the other case will be more successful. But still after the desperate and hateful articles they published in the last weeks (only in Romanian of course so that the "students" in other countries don't know what they are like), I am surprised that they don't make a bigger fuss about this win. But of course there is still time for that.

The sentence with the huge font size means GB is innocent. As I pointed out above this is not true, but just think about the message this send to the reader. It is just childish, like many of their latest articles, but honestly I'm starting to not give a damn lately.

Another lie from the official MISA webpage

So, how are we doing with the not lying bit of the fundamental yogi principles MISA officials?

Bad, very, very bad.

As I quoted them a few days back when the process was delayed they said that the cause of the delay was unknown. Well this was suspicious because they of all people should have known being so close to the defendant as well as the victim. But I went along with their official declaration. But of course the ugly truth came out on the very same day: they were lying. Lying without hesitation.

The official version of things is still up on their website as I'm writing this but the true cause of the delay (at least the court's official reason for the delay) is known as well. And BIG surprise (at least for those who think that the greatest yogis in the universe who make up the MISA leadership never ever lie) it's not the same as what they said.

According to the official page of the court that handles their case the reason for the delay is as follows:

"Delayed till the 23rd of April 2010, because of time needed for deliberation and for the representative of the victim Dumitru Mădălina and the defence lawyer of the defendant B.G. to submit their conclusions to the file. "

So what can be the conclusion? They lied this time, for a very simple reason in an insignificant case.

Now think about this. If they are willing and capable to lie about something like this, don't you think they would be willing to lie about more important thing?

I think so.

This "minor" detail was discovered by the exmisa.ro user Mahacutra, who is considered enemy nr. 1 of MISA. Well after such profound revelations (a beloved MISA expresion) I'm not surprised.

Update in the case at Sibiu

So today came the day of decision in the case in Sibiu, for which the greatest yogis in the Universe meditated so intensely. The result? So far just another delay. Of course in good yogaesoteric (the oficial MISA site) manner, the information is published only in Romanian. I published the call to meditation yesterday, but this time I have to translate.

"In the case at Sibiu, the ruling on the case was delayed for two weeks. 

In the case in Sibiu, today the 9th of April, it was announced that the sentencing was delayed to the 23rd of April 2010. The announcement does not include details and it is a legal measure that the judge can take, in order to have time to deliberate, before pronouncing the sentence.

Signs of desperation

So, as the final court date is approaching the MISA leadership is getting more and more desperate, and (in good old MISA style) they try by mobilizing all of their mindless drones to meditate and do (incredibly ineffective) "tantric" rituals to manipulate their imaginary friends (gods, and yes all possible Christian and Hindu versions) to make things come out to the greatest a**hole ever spiritual master in the universe.

The following email is supposed to be circulating among the members of the UK branch of the cult, it also went around in Romanian, but this way I don't have to translate, so:

The yogis and the justice system

According to the official MISA site (yet again only in Romanian, because of course God forbid the disciples from the other countries should know that the greatest most illuminated most spiritual master in the whole universe since the dawn of time has serious legal charges against him and that the end of his trial is coming soon) the last date in the case of Gregorian Bivolaru (or now known as Magnus Aurolson) is coming to an end, and of course this is only because the court is filled with demon possessed Freemason devils. At least this is what kind of impression the article makes. Not too long ago they themselves were complaining about the fact that the case is going on for 6 years, and now that the court wants to finish it already they get upset. And as usual see conspiracies all around.

this is a post on the ex-misa forum based on an email that is making it's rounds among the faithful disciples. It gives a typical MISA meditation program (the extra long version) that is supposed to help resolve the legal matters of the master.
The title is a very important announcement.
The program consists of a 3,5 hour morning and a 3,5 hour evening program. Wow! I haven't seen them this active since the Basescu meditation program. (For those who don't know, a few years back there was a vote on the dismissal of the then president of Romania Traian Basescu, and the leaders of MISA apparently made a deal with Basescu's people, at least this was the word among the disciples, to paranormally sustain him, and of course were promised a convenient resolution in their legal problems and money was given to the people who participated, among them myself).
Some of the "rules" worth mentioning is that entrance is based on the yoga course id alone, and the so holly presence at the yoga courses can be substituted with the participation at this event.

So there is a big scare among MISA believers at the moment, and I'm curious how the trial will go.

The yogis and the gays

The subject is their usual hypocritical hateful "we're so superior to you all that you don't even see us" style is that homosexuality is not genetic so wrong. This coming from people who support sexual relationships between women, for the spiritual benefits of such actions. Don't get me wrong I, Mahashakti, personally don't have any problem with people having other sexual preferences than heterosexuality. I don't support pedophilia (unlike MISA, just think of the master begin accused of having sexual relations with an underage girl, and the comment of the vice-president of the organization at the time saying that the appearance of an obviously underage girl in one of the MISA theatrical performances filled with sexuality and NAKED people at the occasion of Bivolaru's birthday is not wrong because it was a long time ago and the girl is probably not a minor any more, yes you read that right that was what he said, not in those words, but this was obviously the message), but if people, no matter their gender, choose to have a particular type of sexual relationship, I don't have a problem with that, as long as it's consensual. And it makes no difference if that person is male or female. I'm not that hypocritical to support in a sublime and paranormal manner the sexual intercourse between two women, while on the homepage http://www.yogaesoteric.net/content.aspx?lang=RO&item=6216 of the movement I master there are hate filled articles against male homosexual relationships. Based on "science". That is my other big problem with them. They abuse science in horrendous ways. They either say science is wrong in an absolute manner, that when it does not support their obsessions, and say that science supports their claims and of course than it's great, when they find something that seems to remotely support their claims. Or the other version is that they use hundred (I kid not) year old medical papers to support their claims. Now I'm not saying that every article older than 10 years is wrong (of course not), I'm just saying that something that did not make it into the 21st century medical knowledge is not a good starting point for your argument.

And another funny (and typically MISA thing) is the name of the author. Ramona Bunescu. If your not familiar with the Romanian names, you should know that the -escu ending is typical for Romanian names (just think of Ceausescu, or Iliescu) and the first part of the name is Bun, which means good. So the name basically means (in the favorite MISA manner of manipulation on every possible level) that the author is a good person, and of course this means that you should really believe everything she said without any real evidence for what she's saying.

I'm not going to go into the details of how scientifically wrong, and how bad the arguments are, not to mention how hateful the articles are, I'm going to let a gay man answer the question of why is it wrong to discriminate against gay people for them (the topic is a certain user and the message is addressed to him, but regardless, the arguments that this person (Zinnia) is making are in my opinion perfect for this topic).

At the moment it was just an attempt and it's an old report about MISA from the start of the big scandal back in 2004. I hope to make some original videos as well from the materials I've collected since I left so visit the page occasionally for updates. Depending though on the time I have, because I do have a life, and no matter what MISA keeps saying I do not get payed thousands of euros from the secret service to write against them (ok they haven't said that about me but about Mahacutra one of the most active people on the anti forums, but I'm expecting it any day now).

Proprieties of Misa in Costinești

There seems to be a confusion regarding the number and location of MISA owned buildings in Costinesti at least to the outsiders, so here's a little explanation.

There are the following buildings and territories owned and used by MISA in the sumertime that I know of:

the commandament - consisting of one smaller one storied building, a large flat type building (the large 7 storied one with the colored windows at night) called Rai (Heaven) in MISA folclore and a small courtyard all within the same court. This has a  multi colored fence around it, you can't miss it.

the so called Shakti vila or the vila of the invited girls (Vila invitatelor in Romanian)- that is on the corner of the street and has a large metal fence surrounding it. This has if I remember correctly 4 stories in total. There is also a courtyard, though not large. In the courtyard there is a summer kitchen where there are also big boxes of tomatoes, potatoes, and other vegetables stored for the use of the girls staying there. There is a stove, electric sandwich maker cutlery available.

Right next to the Shakti vila there is another building that is called Lotus. There is a metal fence between the two buildings although there shouldn't be in my opinion seeing that they both are owned by the same people. But of course the good old MISA mentality makes it's appearance: the two have to be separated because the shakti vila is only for the special shakti's that get invited there, not for the stupid idiots who work from dusk till dawn to run the camp. Nooo. Oh no.

Here is the place where the karma yogis that help run the camp stay. Free of course. You can't miss it it has big solar panels on top. Their purpose is to make warm water for the people who live there. In reality this means about 30 minutes of warm water per day. It's way not enough, many people stay there.

This was also the location of the Indra mantra initiations in 2008 and where the so called Ayurveda medical helpcenter operated also in 2008. About last year I have no idea.

Next to the Lotus vila there is a house owned by someone else, but next to this one (as if you were going toward the see from the corner where the shakti vila is) is yet another MISA owned land. This has a let's say wooden building on it. It's like a small shed. But this land has a different purpose. It is mostly empty but there are some posts and some lines on it. The purpose of this place is to hand the washed clothes of the karma yogis and the shaktis from the shakti vila. The shaktis also have such a contraption in the courtyard of the vila but this is manly used by the staff (karma yogis) for the hanging of especially the bed sheets used in the living areas. If your a karma yogi and you wash your clothes in cold water (as I said warm water in the karma yogi's living area is limited) and by hand (unlike the shaktis from the wila who have a washing service they can give their clothes to for wasdh and thei recieve it back all nice and clean) you can ask for the key of the gate at the guard of the comandament enterance and hang your clothes there to dry.

Diagonally from the shalti vila (the corner of the opposite street) there is a smaller land with nothing on it, not even a fence, that is also owned by MISA as far as I know, because they park their cars there and sometimes there is a karma yogi posted there to watch those cars. This is not for sure though.

The big yellow tent as I like to call it. In MISA folklore it is called the surrounded terrain.

And finally the place where they hold the so called spirals.

Now I don't know about you but to buy all these lands mainly in the center of an expensive holiday spot in Romania where especially the land is expensive and then build these buildings you have to have money. And of course if the construction was done with karma yoga then it's even more dispicable. The current number 2 in MISA Mihai Stoian is renting out rooms in waht he calls the yoga hotel in Costinesti. Now considering that the Romanians consider MISA a cult and it has a pretty bad reputation all around Romania, I don't care how much they are liked (or at least they say that they are liked) in the places they hold their camps (Herculane and Costinesti) I don't think that a MISA independent businessman goes on and builds a hotel especially for the yogis. He would go out of business wery soon, no matter how much the MISA oficials claim that they have over 40000 students worldwide, they can't gather more than 5000 of them in the summertime and that's only for one day at the time of the so called hiatus spiral, and certainly not for the duration of the whole camp (in the begining of the camp all the participants, including the staff, can be fitted into one large room, at the end of the camp the situation is similar, but then they keep them in the tent even if it's the end of August and it's begining to be cold, this is the thanks for their loyalty) and certainly not for the whole summer season on the seashore, that would be required to run a hotel with profit or at least with 0 expense. But of course from this we can conclude that Mr. Stoian is renting out the rooms in the ashram. Ashram that was probably built with karma yoga (aka for free) and for the yogis to live there, not for the personal profit of one Mr. Stoian. And they say that they don't use illegal workforce and that they are a non-profit organization. Not to mention super spiritual people who are not attached to money or any worldly goods, and they TEACH other people this philosophy.

Meals are also included in the ashrams cantina, food that is made by karma yogis and food that is not available to the rest of the participants of the camp, not even for money.

The quality of the MISA school's teachings part 1

First of all the question arises: Why aren't there any yoga teachers in MISA?

In MISA only Gregorian Bivolaru has the title of yoga professor. Why is this so?

In the danish MISA branches and in the other Scandinavian and western European branches coordinated by Mihai Stoian there are yoga and tantra teachers. Why are there none in Romania and in MISA?

Competition maybe? Maybe because in this way only he is the one with the superior knowledge and the others are only insignificant copies? But they could not pull this off in the so called western countries because there they did not get any respect if they did not have the proper preparation, they pretended in vain that they have the greatest tantric master in the universe that ever existed and they are his students and this is enough. Yeah, right.

The dark side of a tantric cult

So I finally have time to link this video on the blog.
This report by Danish tv Station MOT is simply great. The Romanian reports about MISA were, in some cases, really-really off and/or simply wrong in some cases and biased in others. But this is, at least in my opinion, the best report about the topic to date. It's clear, very well documented and sufficiently objective.
They (MISA) did not dare to touch it when it appeared, or since then for that matter. Of course every other news report (especially if it's more scandal-oriented), gets pages of official commentary condoning it and crying for sympathy on every major propaganda outlet of the cult, but this one for some interesting reason (I wonder what) is a taboo topic.
So please check it out. It's not the entire picture of course but I think it's a pretty good start especially of you're thinking about going to one of their events or courses/workshops or are already a potential recruit and are at the beginning of your cult career.
And if you are already a member of one of their courses take notes and next time you go to class ask some questions and listen carefully to the answers and observe the reactions of the official representative.

New find on yogaesoteric that I have to share

So I was looking for an article on the official propaganda site of Misa yogaesoteric.net and I found an article that had an interesting picture. It's too funny and the intention behind it is too obvious not to be observed for the trained eye like I have.

So this is the picture

The photo portrays Gabriela Ambăruș, vice-president of Misa. The photo is from her "conference" at the so called First Congress of European Yoga Federation  held in Bucharest and organized by Misa. This was before they were thrown out of the European Yoga Federation. Status that they were wary proud of and that they still sustain even though they wrote some pretty ugly things (we are used to this reaction already) about the Federation.

Notice the halo, like that of saints around her head. The Misa preferred subtle message (that they love to criticize when it comes from someone other than them) that this is trying to convey: she is such a saint (for those who believe in the christian religions) or her aura is so shiny (for those who are believers in the new age stupiditites). It's clear now. Misa must be authentic. It's persident has an aura visible on digital photgraphs. Imagine her level of spiritual evolution, because acording to Misa doctrine auras can not be seen on digital photos and for this reason the cult members, sorry yoga students or spiritual aspirants who whish to participate in the camps organized by the cult, aaa, the biggest spiritual school in Europe (ah that blasted truth keeps popping in my head, the word cult and fraud as well) they have to send two and sometimes three photos of themselves in a bikini, but only pictures taken in a certain period and only on classic film not digital, because on the digital pictures the aura is not shown. How do they know this? Well acording to the oficial statements given by the oficial instructors (who supposedly went through a hard and long theoretic and practical training period before attaining this staus, yeah right) give when noobs (aka first year students in Misa) start asking stupid questions like this. This in good Misa tradition is not proven in any way of course, because the essence of Misa doctrine and ideas is blind faith in what Grieg and his representatives (the yoga instructors) say, no matter how stupid. So their arguments go something like this: you have to make photos in order to participate in the camps in a certain way but only after a certain date and only non-digital photos, because we will send the photos to Grieg so that he looks at the pohotos and establishez if you are fit to participate in the camp (yeah right like he is going to look paranormally of course, how else? at the pictures of their supposed 40000 disciples? He doesn't have time to prepare a 2 hour conference in a years time, at least this is the lesson of the last few years of trance initiation conferences, how the hell would he have time to look at so many photos?), but you should not worry because you will only be turened away if you have a serious condition like schizophrenia (this is also another obsession at Misa, having schizophrenia. Intereastingly enough this is the mental illness that Grieg was diagnosed with during communism. I understand that those times were hard and political interests dictated everything, but still it's an interesting coincidence, which the misa believers should value even more because this is another obsession in Misa). Well I have tried to send digital photos and the great cosmic master did not notice. I also submitted the photos one day and I received the id the next day. So how does this work anyway? Did someone fly to Sweden in the evening after all the photos were collected and took the photos to Grieg for inspection and came back during the night and they made the id's during the night so that they were ready the next day? I wary much doubt that they ever worked so hard in their life. Remember it takes the great master a year to prepare a few hours of conferences.

But coming back to the subject. The photo is obviously modified by the people who put it up on the site, with the obvious purpose of portraying Ms. Ambăruș in the most favorable light (divine light of course, hih) possible. This article went up after the big scandals inside the leadership of Misa in which many of the old (aka before 1989, the big change moment of the Romanian revolution, that liberated the yoga movement from the dictatorship's grasp) faithful students were excommunicated from the organization (cult). She and her twin sister Mihaela are among the few that survived the big cleaning (dare I say detoxing) process. She is also the new vice-president of Misa, so she is beign pushed forward and portrayed as a saint. Literally.

Changes on the blog

When I started this blog I wanted to write in English so that there exists a source of fresh information from the perspective of a former Misa student in an international language, but now seen as I don't really have time to write in English and I write on the forums in Romanian I decided to post some of those posts here also, at least those I consider relevant. So major changes. But maybe I will translate them in English sometime in the future when I have more time. So much for now.

Intelligent thing at MISA

A few weeks ago there was an information being spread among the MISA students that is supposed to be coming from the master is that the north pole of Earth is in fact the geographic south pole. This is an important element in MISA practices, during certain rituals the practitioners have to face the (until now) magnetic north pole and perform the ritual like this. Also from the very beginning it is recommended at the courses that the asanas (physical postures) should be performed facing north. But now  we find out that it was wrong all this time (but of course without admitting that they were wrong, even though thousands, tens of thousands of super evolved students have never realized).

So how stupid is this? It's macrocosmingly stupid. The north pole is in fact the south pole. Oh my frakin GOD IDIOTS!!!! And they have the audacity to put on their banners the promise that through yoga (of course what they call yoga) you can enhance your intelligence through yoga. Like this? No thanks MISA. You can keep your spiritual evolution if it involves such levels of stupidity.

New Misa scandal (sort of)

So lately there have been some new TV reports about Misa. The reports were on the Romanian TV station Pro TV. And the big “mistake” (at least according to the Misa authors) of the makers of the show and the TV station was that it was shown in an entertainment show. They (Misa) say that the reports can not be taken serious and it's because there are some new appointments at the court regarding the Misa case. Yeah right. That's exactly what's going on. They want to influence trials which are only further and further delays of the actual decision making process. These trials will go on for a few more years, a usual phenomenon in the Romanian justice system. But even so. What are they trying to say? The media can not say one single word about a major case that was the focus of the public interest a few years ago? Does the public have no right to know if that thing is still going on or not? If there were changes or not? According to Misa no, only they (as in yogaesoteric.net, their official site) have this right to talk about anything related to Misa and their obsessions, sorry informations from the yoga course. 

Another thing is that they (Misa officials and yoga-students) were also invited to the show but they refused. The official response containing this is posted on the official website. 

But the most stupid and horrible and absolutely un-spiritual thing about the whole case was the reaction and official position of the “biggest spiritual school in Europe”. They attacked, in a wary personal manner, the only person who dared to say they she does not agree with the Misa practices with her name and face public, Cecilia Tiz. They wrote a despicable article in which they wrote some pretty bad thing about her, and in good Misa manner, without any evidence. 

After other reports similar articles appeared, one worse than the previous, and another hilarious and typical Misa reaction is that they did not address any, ANY of the accusations brought by the former students, but simply criticized the background music used in the reports. Wow. And I thought they couldn't get any lower. But they did. They reached such a low with these articles that if I hadn't left the courses last year I would have left now. New articles keep popping up, all with the same obsessions and mistakes in argumentation that I am familiar with, and that have been demonstrated as being false on the forums. But they (Misa) don't care they just keep repeating the same old bullshit story over and over again, like that would make it true. Sorry, but that is not how this world works. It may work in one of your imaginary superior planes of existence, where you retreat when the real world doesn't suit you, but not here where there are normal and intelligent people to who you keep telling your stupid stories in vain.
