August 9th (MISA Yoga camp commentary 2011)

The music for the meditations can be now downloaded form the following link (Note: these are not uploaded by me and are most likely copyrighted by non-MISA musicians so I will not upload them in the future, so get them while their hot and still available).

Trance initiation
Part 1, duration 5 hours 45 minutes. Good thing they didn't tell that the first time the faithful yogis of MISA were initiated in this extraordinary and unique technique and when they had to sit for 12-48 hours in the famous big yellow circus tent in order to receive this great and once in a lifetime information.
You need a special "trance ID" in order to get in. This (front, back) was mine the first time they did this trance bs. Feel free to make your own and try to participate. But keep in mind that this is only the women's ID and that you probably need a camp pass as well.
The change since the first time when I participated is that people can't make notes anymore. I suspect that this is due to the fact that the whole technique is available on the internet here and here.
Oh and for the naive and full of aspiration first year students for whom this is the first camp: if you have been told that it was never allowed to take notes during this initiation or for that matter any other initiation in the camps, you have been lied to. Taking notes was never a problem until the whole trance initiation ended up public. So keep that in mind and don't forget to ask the person who told you that some follow up questions.
Other activities
10:00 – 10:55 Preliminary presentation by dr. Cristian Boerescu with the topic: Practical elements regarding some aspects that involve the beneficial states of romantic trance.
dr. Cristian Boerescu writes for a really-really cheap and low quality newspaper called Formula AS. Among other about (Romanian article) the 13-16 May 1999 urinotherapy conference in Germany.
The famous urine therapy was one of the many dubious things widely promoted by MISA before the 2004 scandal. Then the news got hold of it, made a big deal out cult members drinking urine and since then it is only recommended unofficially and never acknowledged by the officials of the cult. To this day this is one of the first things the ordinary Romanian citizen thinks of when they hear about MISA.

Skeptics dictionary entry about urine therapy.

Oh and before this sounds like I have some personal problem with mr Boerescu, what the hell is this supposed to be about? Why not practical applications of the romantic trance state? Why not practical tips about applying this technique in your life? Oh because this is supposed to be a sort of trailer and a sort of teaser for those who still don't know a thing about what the trance technique actually involves.
This is the classic MISA technique: they build it up to be some great thing, this big revelation that will change your life forever and that will allow you to move mountains with your mind (or something similar) and then when you finally get the big revelation it's a huge disappointing collection of silly platitudes and silly rituals that you yourself could have thought of if you tried.

11:00 – 12:20 Rehearing the conference by Gregorian Bivolaru with the topic: The mysteries of the beneficial states of trance that are consciously induced part 1.

12:30 – 13:00 Exemplification: The state of supra-mental intuition that manifests itself in the hidden filed of Vijnanamaya Kosha.
Official description.
For a description of Vijnanamaya Kosha see page 22 of this the official MISA yoga course (only Romanian sorry, but you can try to translate it using translation software if you're curious).
There is a separate presentation during the trance initiation but I have nor the time nor the inclination to compare the two. If you are interested you can do that yourself.

13:05 – 13:50 Continuing to listen to the audio.
Not sure why that needs to be pointed out, but it's their program.

14:00 – 14:30 Exemplification: Clear and firm spiritual invocation in out interior universe of the presence of the archangel Zadakiel.

14:35 – 18:15 Again listening to the audio.

Alternative afternoon program
I guess for those who already listened to this long-ass-boring-thing.

13:05 – 13:25 Meditation: Laya yoga with the mantra of the cosmic power Matangi.

13:30 – 13:54 Statement made by Gregorian Bivolaru titled: The Arhanghel Zadakiel - The arhanghel of pure and overwhelming divine joy (audio)
Well what more is needed to be said? Isn't this 139 word description enough? Isn't the whole point of this meditation to transmit an experience? A practical and perfect way of understanding the topic? Why is there a need for a presentation?
And by the way what's with all the statements this year? Did MISA finally reach the point in which they just outright give you their ideas about things and if you don't like it you can stfu?
I guess it's easier this way because there is no possibility to say that you don't think what was presented is correct because:
1. it's an audio recording and the person making the claims isn't there to receive questions and
2. after the meditation that this is supposed to prepare you for you don't have an opportunity to voice the fact that you might not have experienced what you should have based on the presentation.
So what't the point in all of this? To get you in the mood? For what? If the exemplification that is the perfect way of knowledge doesn't give you all the information you need why would a simple little presentation help you?
Let me give you an analogy because that's so popular in the case of these meditations (to make up for the lack of evidence for archangels and spiritual realms and other bs):
let's say you never experienced an orgasm. Would the reading of an account of an ordinary orgasm of an old man read out loud in a very monotone manner, making long pauses and accentuating every other word help you in experiencing the actual feeling of orgasm when the music is put on and you close your eyes and sit still for the next 30 minutes?
I think not. I do think however that the point of these is to tell the participants without outright telling them of what they should experience in these meditations.
Let's take the whole thing seriously for a minute. If the method applied here (namely the close your eyes, listen to the music and be open to the state that Grieg is sending us all the way from Paris or wherever he is) is correct and works then all that need to be done is to get the people to sit, close their eyes, listen to the music and be open to the state that is transmitted. If the different stated that will be exemplified during the camp are so specific as their titles hint, there shouldn't be any difficulty even for the least experienced meditatior to perceive them exactly as they should. In this case there is no need for the presentation before the meditations.
But of course when they do try this, for example in the case of the Miss contest and in the case of the yoga contest during their own yoga congress, the results are abysmal. Out of hundreds of people only a few can pick out the right state that was supposedly transmitted. And in that case they have 3 options to choose from. That's worse than chance, guessing if you like. This should not be the case if these states would actually exist.
Please consider this in the case of every single exemplification and transmission of spiritual states etc that will be done in the camp or in the future.

And another thing. Other more normal churches have embraced modern technology and some of them not only use sound amplification (like MISA does) but also have started using live streaming of Sunday mass or other events on the internet. Now this could be a great thing for MISA. They could just sit their dera master in front of a webcam (he doesn't even have to sit in front of a computer that is believed by MISA to emit bad yang energies) and let him lead the meditation and give his lectures live.
And not do as they have done in past years to wait for 204 hours for 30 minute bits of the presentation that the great master had a whole year to prepare. I get it that MISA (or in this case the one(s) that make these sort of decisions) really-really hates technology, but come on are you guys doing this by carrier pidgins or what?
And not to mention the fact that seeing their master physically is supposed to be very important and very helpful for their spiritual evolution. This is the reason they give out those photos of him so that the stupid little disciple who is not loved enough by the god(s) he/she is praying to to receive the proper spiritual states when he/she asks for them but rather needs a photo of an old man to stare at to see the appropriate spiritual state.

So MISA why don't you join the rest of us in the 21st century and so something like this. Hey this way you could even have live question and answer sessions.
If not why not?

14:00 – 14:30 Exemplification: Clear and firm spiritual invocation in out interior universe of the presence of the archangel Zadakiel.

21:00 – 21:30 Exemplification: The divine state of spiritual responsibility.
Now they are actually making fun of their own disciples. Oh well if the irony doesn't hit them in the head during this then I can't really say anything to change that.

Spiritual activities
Changed location (as always when more people start to come during the second week of the camp) to the newly renamed surrounded field as it was called until now: the conference grounds.
Notice not conference hall. That's not a typo. In case you haven't seen this, this grand conference grounds is just a place in Costineşti that has some wooden benches (really small ones, that are really uncomfortable if you have to sit on them for dozens of hours) and a big yellow tent over it. The place is really hot during the day and really cold during the evening. So yeah. Comfort isn't a priority. Just big, important sounding names. What will the next step be naming the locations after certain select people like long dead yogis that no longer have the opportunity to object to their words being twisted to fit MISA propaganda?

22:00 – 23:30  Viewing
Probably movies again. If you have other information please let me know in the comments below.

And in the news
The first news report about the camp. The good yogis still are not talking to the press, while the bad ones are trying to share the fact that this is something they like. But neither of them talk about what goes on behind the (now) literal fence.
Well what does that tell you?
And I just love the contradiction of the sincerely held beliefs of the average MISA yogi and the very program of the camp.
No, yoga is not a religion, - says the average yogi stopped by the news reporters - except that what we as MISA's students are doing here is organizing a brand new and revolutionary religious movement that will lead humanity into the glorious theocratic future and a religious camp.
The program of the camp contains at least two events per day that are exclusively religious and that can in no way be interpreted as not religious. And most certainly can not be interpreted as having to do with yoga.
One of which is always a judeo-christian one (archangel this and that + god this and that) and one a Hindu one (Laya meditation with Matangi). Of course this being MISA the Hindu one(s) (or at least the MISA interpretation of the Hindu one(s)) will eventually get more space as the camp progresses but it's still religious and only religious. The main purpose of the camp is a religious one as well as the whole school of MISA has an exclusively religious message and yet they still deny it.
Not to mention the whole theophany movement that will have it's week long run towards the end of the camp.

For the life of me I can't understand why these people have such a big problem with this.
No you are not good little Orthodox Christians anymore ever since you decided to do your first consecration and to accept the first mantra initiation in the mantra of the Hindu god Shiva and decided to practice it. You are a member of a polytheistic cult with christian origins and that's it. You can either embrace it and be proud of it or you can stop going to MISA and be a good christian that goes to church every Sunday and listens to the priest sing and dance around without any participation on your part.
You can't have it both ways and have people's respect at the same time. The fact that you can't hear your own contradiction but others can doesn't mean that they are wrong and you are right. You are not persecuted if someone points out that you are doing things that are not allowed in Christianity.
How's that good old Romanian saying of if someone says you're drunk you can doubt them, but if several people tell you that you're drunk you should go lay down? Why isn't that one part of the MISA curriculum?

Next day
